With the certification compliant with the UNI CEI 11352: 2014 standard, Owac operates as an energy services company (ESCO), thus being able to provide energy efficiency services in compliance with the Standard and with guaranteed results, offering guarantees of effectiveness and efficiency. reliability of this service.
Legislative Decree 102/2014, which transposes Directive 2012/27 / EU in Italy, contains explicit reference to UNI CEI 11352, in particular:
- large companies are obliged to carry out an energy audit, conducted by companies that provide energy services, energy management experts or energy auditors, at production sites located on the national territory by 5 December 2015 and subsequently every 4 years; this obligation does not apply to large companies that have adopted management systems compliant with the ISO 50001 standard;
- after 24 months from the date of entry into force of this decree, these diagnoses must be performed by subjects certified according to the UNI CEI 11352 and UNI CEI 11339 standards by accredited bodies; within the same term, ESCo and E.G.E will be able to participate in the white certificates mechanism only if they hold certification, respectively, according to the UNI CEI 11352 and UNI CEI 11339 standards.
