In October 2018 OWAC Engineering Company, together with Technital S.r.L. of Verona and I.A. Consulting S.r.L. of Naples, it was awarded an Agreement with the Campania Regional Council concerning the design of plants for the treatment of the wet fraction of waste. The Agreement, in addition to the design of new plants, also includes the expansion or revamping of existing ones.
The Agreement was divided into three lots coinciding with the Provinces of Naples, Caserta and Avellino, for a total amount of € 3,900,000. The design activity of OWAC Engineering Company, which together with the grouping won the second lot, will cover the Province of Caserta.
The contract derives from the Campania Region’s adjustment policy to the European Directives, in the context of waste management, undertaken in 2016 with the updating of the Regional Plan for Urban Waste Management (PRGRU). With the Pact for the Development of the Campania Region, 250 Mln / € were destined to the construction of treatment plants for the organic waste collection and 13 interventions were subsequently scheduled.
The defined design of a composting plant with a capacity of 30,000 t / year is underway
